On October 3, the Eleventh Edition of the Best CEO Awards brought founders and chief executives from more than twenty countries to the Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid. According to the organizers, the 92 honorees were selected from 3,821 candidacies.
Shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, the lights dimmed in the main hall of the Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, a hotel that opened its doors in 1910. Seated at eighteen tables were chief executives, founders and investors from Spain, Latin America, Europe, the United States, the Middle East and Asia. The dress code was black tie, and attendance was limited to 190 guests.
The occasion was the autumn edition of the Best CEO Awards (BCA), an international recognition program for business executives, founders and investors. It was the program's second ceremony at the hotel this year, following the May edition held at the same address.
The Numbers Behind The Room
According to BCA, the Eleventh Edition received 3,821 applications from candidates in 89 countries. Ninety-two were recognized on the night, or approximately 2.4 percent of those who applied. The program's Official Regulations cap the number of finalists at thirty per award category, and decisions on admission to the finalist phase are final and not subject to appeal.
The honorees came from companies of very different sizes and stages: family groups, professional firms, foundations, and founder-led businesses still in their first decade. According to the organizers, what they share is not a sector or a size threshold but a documented track record over the period under review.
A Theme About Staying Power
The edition was organized under the theme "The Quiet Power of Legacy." According to the organizers, the theme was chosen to recognize leaders who build institutions designed to endure and who create value over the long term, with their influence measured over decades rather than short-term visibility.
BCA states that honorees are recognized for their financial performance, their ability to operate in international markets, and their approach to sustainable growth, ethical leadership and innovation.
How The Honorees Were Assessed
Applications are assessed across twelve dimensions set out in the program's Official Regulations: Industry Innovation, Business Performance, Industry Leadership, Strategic Development, Internationalization, Service Quality, Market Positioning and Networking, Sustainability, Employee Training and Development, Inclusion and Diversity, Ethics and Governance, and Corporate Financial Returns. Performance is reviewed over a reference period of twelve to thirty-six months, and all submitted documentation must be authentic and verifiable. BCA states that each candidacy is evaluated as a whole and that no single criterion decides the outcome.
The evaluation is overseen by a Scientific Committee. According to BCA, its members are independent professionals from the academic, financial, legal and business fields, bound by a formal conflict-of-interest protocol. The committee's membership is kept confidential for the duration of each award cycle, which BCA states is intended to prevent attempts to identify, contact or influence individual members. Candidacies are not accepted from individuals or entities in jurisdictions subject to international sanctions or trade embargoes.
Under the Official Regulations, no fees are charged at any stage of the process, including application, nomination, desk review and finalist selection. Honorees join the Best CEO Awards Honoree Program, which permits them to use the Best CEO Awards Honoree designation and the associated Badge of Excellence® under the program's published usage guidelines.
Three Recognitions Presented On Their Own
Most honorees were called to the stage in groups, category by category. Three were recognized individually, each introduced by a member of the organization.
Dositeo Paz González, who opened the evening, leads LC Group, a group of companies built across six industries: audiology, distribution, real estate, fashion, communication and wine. In the organizers' citation, the group's audiology business was singled out for making modern hearing solutions available to a wide patient base.
Dario Sánchez founded the animation studio 3Doubles Producciones nine years ago. According to information submitted by the company, it now employs more than two hundred people across two studios in Spain, has a Goya nomination to its name, and produces for studios in the United States, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Mexico. The company reports that in 2019, after a failed merger, it was carrying €700,000 in debt; it now reports annual turnover above €7 million. Sánchez has built the studio around a model in which artists stay with the company across productions rather than moving on at the end of each project.
Rebecca Arippol leads Arippol Estates, a luxury real estate agency operating between Milan and Miami. Her recognition was presented in the final part of the evening.
The Sectors Represented
The honorees work across law and corporate advisory, industry and engineering, sustainability and energy, corporate strategy, health and medicine, wellness and beauty, education, media and culture, real estate and investment, and hospitality and gastronomy. According to BCA, the edition drew a large share of its honorees from Spain and Latin America, alongside leaders from Europe, the United States, the Middle East and Asia.
